Calibration and characterization of pumps

The ReciFlow is fast enough to capture variations in flow produced by pumps. This gives a deeper understanding of how the pump is performing. For example, piston or membrane pumps that have inherent oscillations are possible to analyse with our flow meter. The response time of the flow meter is merely limited to how large the compressible volume in the system is. The "gas cushion" between the pump and the flow meter tends to even out fast variations in the flow. It is therefore advantageous to connect the pump as close as possible to the flow meter.

Since the ReciFlow measures the flow precisely and continuously, the calibration of for example personal air sampler pumps or patient monitors is made swiftly.
